FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Natural Collagen?
Collagen is a protein that is a vital part of the skin’s connective tissue and is essential for both appearance and elasticity of our skin. Collagen makes up 25% of all the proteins in our body and 70% of the proteins in our skin. The body’s natural collagen production begins to slow down after the age of 25.
Why is Natural Collagen a unique product?
No other product on the market contains “living” collagen protein. All currently available cosmetic products on the market temporarily reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Natural Collagen has the ability to permanently renovate wrinkled epidermis and restore the natural collagen production of the skin. Until recently, very expensive and invasive injections by a plastic surgeon were the only known way to deliver substantial amount of collagen through the skin.
How is Natural Collagen different from other collagen products?
Natural Collagen can actually penetrate and repair the dermis layer of the skin. There are two factors that prevent other collagen products from penetrating to such a deep layer; the size of the collagen molecule and the temperature requirements. These factors highlight what sets Natural Collagen apart from all other collagen products available on the market.
Why is Natural Collagen so Expensive?
The collagen molecule in the Silver Carp is nearly identical to a humans’; in fact it is a little bit smaller. The unique extraction process is done entirely by hand using special glass and wood implements to ensure the collagen molecule remains completely intact. The special gel form enables the collagen to maintain its three dimensional triple helix structure and to penetrate to the deepest layer of skin. This is proven to fight the actual causes, not just the effects of aging.
What is Elastin- (one of the product's ingredients)?
Is a protein in connective tissue that is elastic and allows many tissues in the body to resume their shape after stretching or contracting. Elastin helps skin to return to its original position when it is poked or pinched.
How much of pure collagen is there precisely in our Natural Collagen?
This question has not be asked properly. The specific answer about 45%, or perhaps 98% in the total dry mass does not reflect the essence of the subject. After preparation of water, lactic acid and oils that give the product the form of a gel in the process of emulsification- we should receive the pure form of the protein again. Then, however, the product would lose its transepidermic characteristics and would be impermanent. The better answer is: the maximum of the amount possible to be completely absorbed by the external layer of epidermis. In general the content of "collagen in collagen" is measured by the amount of hydroxyproline in ug.cm3. When we are operating on the percentages we can be laughed at by a biochemist.
What is the difference between the fish and bovine collagen?
First of all it does not induce allergy. The more refined the species of fish is used for the extraction of collagen, the smaller the pollution of the fresh water reservoirs that are the source of the fish, the smaller the number-even to the verge of the per mill statistical error of the percentage-of people who become allergic to the product obtained in such a way. Since 1999 the plastic surgery has departed from the application of the bovine collagen. The fish collagen excludes the spread of prions. Apart from the fact that the risk is slight, the psychosis created by the media deters the clients from the bovine collagen. Finally, what was most important to us, this is an extract from the fish skins, first from salmon family, then from the carp family, that underwent the Polish method of hyper-filtration through the fibroins of silk, which has given the known result.
When will I see results? Can I have a sample?
In a sample packet, the product would not maintain its integrity and provide any results. The true benefits of Natural Collagen come from religious long term use. Short term results will be apparent after 1-2 weeks of using the product, and the more permanent long term results will be apparent within 2-3 months. A good rule of thumb is to comparing it to working out, it will take as long to correct as it took to create.
Will I become dependent on Natural Collagen? Does the skin become accustomed to receiving protein externally, reducing its ability to produce its own?
No.It isn’t so much support from the outside, but rather an awakening of the fibroblasts inside, stimulating them to produce on their own collagen. Research has shown an increase in skin tissue after about 100 days of noninvasive topical collagen application.
Actually, with regular use of Natural Collagen, over time you will be able to reduce the number of applications per day but still retain the beneficial effects.
If it is so important to store Natural Collagen at room temperature (or below) in order to maintain its biological structure, how is the biological structure retained when applied to skin that is over 36ºC?
A thin layer of Natural Collagen applied to damp skin will be absorbed in about 5 minutes. It takes 55 minutes of sustained exposure to temperatures above 35ºC for the Natural Collagen’s triple helix structure to unwind and for the gel to decoagulate and liquefy.
What is the shelf life of Natural Collagen?
The “best before date”, as the manufacturer determines it, is generally set at 12 months from the production/filtration date. The shelf life of Natural Collagen is defined as the time that the product retains its full rejuvenating capacity. It is proven that product as old as 3 years and stored at the temperature less than 28ºC is still fully intact.
How long does each bottle of Natural Collagen last?
Our best estimates are based on personal use and customer feedback while using the product the recommended twice a day, everyday, only face and neck application.
- 50ml apporx 2-3 months
- 100ml approx 4-6 months
- 200ml approx 8-10 months
When should I refrain from using Natural Collagen?
It is not recommended to use Natural Collagen if you are pregnant, allergic to fish protein, undergoing radiotherapy, chemotherapy, kidney dialysis, or have collagenosis (connective tissue disease). Contact your doctor if you are not sure or have any concerns.
How do I apply Natural Collagen?
Use on skin washed with a mild soap and rinsed thoroughly with water, left damp, 2-3 times a day. Collagen loves water. Collagen binds to water and collagen pulls water into the dermal layers where it gets absorbed, deeply moisturizing your skin.
Do not apply Natural Collagen immediately after strong skin cleansers. Collagen is a protein that will break down in the presence of acids contained in strong cleansers and other tonics.
Use a small amount (fingertip size) and gently apply it to the skin (spread as thinly as possible). A thin layer is all that is needed to encourage maximum absorption of Natural Collagen and prevent wasting this highly concentrated gel by using too much. Leave to absorb for 1-5 minutes.
You should feel a tightening sensation as it is working. A tightening sensation is the feeling of collagen being absorbed in your skin, deeper and deeper, layer after layer. Apply moisturizer as normal. Moisturizing, in addition to regular applications of Natural Collagen, is essential to the practice of good skin care.
